Guwahati: Both the semi finals of the 68th Bordoloi Trophy will be held tomorrow at the Nehru Stadium in the city. While Delhi FC will face United Chirang Duar FC in the first; India Club, Silchar will take on Nagaland Police in the other last-four game. Both the matches will kick off at 2-30 PM in two separate grounds.
The last semi finalist of the competition was decided through a draw today. Nagaland Police and CISF finished in group 'C' with the same point and also in equal goal difference. So as per the rules of the competition the winner was decided today at the GSA office through a draw. Nagaland Police, the runners-up in 2009, earned the berth for the semifinal.
The match between Nagaland Police and India Club will be held at the second ground. Since India Club played their earlier matches at the Judges' Field, so there will be no ground advantage for the Barak Valley outfit. Gauhati Sports Association decided to organize both the semifinals and the final at the Nehru stadium. Like Nagaland Police India Club, the runners-up in 1954 edition, also finished the group with seven points from their three outings.
Meanwhile it will be the first occasion when Delhi FC and Chirang United Duar FC will appear in the semi final. While Delhi FC qualified from group 'B' held at Korora; United Chirang Duar FC finished top in group 'D' which was held at Taikajhora (Chirang).
