BTC EM unveils Assam team jersey in 76th National football tournament

KOKRAJHAR: Executive Member (EM) of Sports and Youth Welfare, BTC Daobaisa Boro on Tuesday unveiled the players' jersey of Assam team for the 76th National football tournament for Hero Santosh trophy at Bodoland Guest House here in presence of Secretary of Assam Football Association (AFA) Hemendra Nath Brahma, CHD of Sports and Youth Welfare, BTC and officials of AFA.

The plain yellow colour jersey with logo of Assam Football Association was provided to the State team. Assam will face Goa on inaugural match to be held tomorrow at SAI Special Area Games Centre, Khanthalguri. The inaugural ceremony would be attended by the Speaker of Assam Legislative Aeembly Biswajit Daimary ad chief guest while CEM of BTR Pramod Boro will give welcome address.

Talking to media persons, the EM of Sports, BTC Daobaisa Boro said that the preparations for holding the tournament had been completed for smooth conduct of group-III where Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Goa will play in SAI STC and Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) playground. He called upon all to enjoy the national football trophy.
