North East United FC lift the GSA 'C' Division Football League title

GUWAHATI: North East United FC (NEUFC) emerged champion in the GSA 'C' Division Football League defeating Guwahati City FC 3-0 in the final at Nehru Stadium here today. North East United took the lead in the 24th minute through J Rongmei. Dipu Mirdha and Joni Rabha added another two in 28th and 49th minutes respectively. It may be mentioned here that both the finalists are promoted to the B Division next season. On the other hand, SG Club is relegated from C Division after suffering a defeat in the relegation match. Royals Club defeated SG Club 8-1 in the match.
