PSPB Tennis Tournament concludes

Guwahati: The 40th PSPB Inter-Unit Tennis Tournament, hosted by Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), concluded at AATA Tennis Complex here today. The closing function of the tournament was attended by Nibedan Das Patowary, Director, Sports and Youth Welfare Department as Chief Guest. Kajal Saikia, GM(HR, I/C) NRL and Ankush Dutta, Secretary, AATA also attended the closing function. While Yuki Bhambri of ONGC was adjudged the Player Of The Tournament (Men), Chirag Duhan, IOCL was the Young Player and Riya Bhatia of IOCL collected the Player Of The Tournament title in Women category.

Results: Veteran's Open Singles final- Hakim Ali (OIL) beat Bubuljyoti Das (NRL) 9-4. Men's Open Singles Final-Ramkumar Ramanathan (IOCL) beat V. M. Ranjeet (ONGC) 9-5. Veteran's' Open Doubles Final- Hakim Ali and Ashim Bharali (OIL) beat Pratul Saikia and Jayanta Dutta (NRL) 9-2. Mens' Open Doubles Final- Vishnu Vardhan and V.M. Ranjeet (ONGC) beat Ramkumar Ramanathan and Chirag Duhan (IOCL) 7-6(10-4).
