AHRC issued notice to CS to form a committee to inquire into the deaths of 5 persons

GUWAHATI: The Assam Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has issued notice to the Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, to constitute a high-level committee to inquire into the incidents that led to the death of five persons on different dates, injury of 27 persons in clash, arrest of 175 persons and picking up of 1,406 others in connection with the protest across the State recently. The Commission also asked the Government to submit an exhaustive report on January 20, 2020.
