Pending ‘National Food Security Act (NFSA) Cards in Assam

GUWAHATI: Altogether 3,21,116 people (of the total 2,52,18,001 beneficiaries) in Assam are yet to get their ration cards under the ‘National Food Security Act (NFSA)-2013’. This was revealed by Food and Civil Supplies Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury to a written question raised by Congress MLA Nurul Huda in the Assam Assembly on Friday.
