Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeals for public contribution to ‘PM CARES Fund’

MUMBAI: In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal for public contribution to the 'PM CARES (Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations) Fund, many people and organizations have pledged to contribute to the Fund on Saturday.

Notable among the donators is Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar (Rs 25 crore); India and Chennai Super Kings batsman Suresh Raina (Rs 52 lakh); Actor Varun Dhawan (Rs 30 lakh); IAS Association (Rs 21 lakh plus one-day salary); Singer Guru Randhawa (Rs 20 lakh); and Arjun Bijlani ( Rs 5 lakh). Sachin Tendulkar on Friday had announced Rs 25 lakh to the PM's Relief Fund. (Agencies)
