Shunyatar Aan Eta Sutra: A Poetry Collection Released

GUWAHATI: A collection of poem Shunyatar Aan Eta Sutra written by Director, Directorate of Information and Public relations, Assam Anupam Choudhury was released at the Guwahati Press Club on Saturday. Additional Chief Secretary Kumar Sanjay Krishna attended the programme as the chief guest. The other delegates present in the book release ceremony were noted writer Anuradha Sharma Pujari, Samudra Gupta Kashyap, Bitupan Borbora, Jayanta Madhab bora and many others.

Speaking on the occasion Anuradha Sharma said that emotion alone cannot be regarded as poetry. to be regarded as a poem there must be proficiency in selection of word and poem must have the quality of acceptability also having a sense of mystery. Sharma added, “The meaning of poem is self release which can be achieved through words. Playing with words play a pivotal role in poetry and smart use of it holds the ability to mesmerize. But it does not mean that using the toughest word from a dictionary will help creating good poetry. Poem keeps the humanity alive, so a poet should know the use of word.”
