1,595 fresh COVID-19 cases detected in Assam on Saturday

GUWAHATI: As many as 1,595 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in the State on Saturday when 23 people died of the pandemic. While the positivity rate in the State during the day was 1.34 per cent, the recovery rate was 96.26 per cent. The highest number of positive cases was 179 in Kamrup Metro district. It was followed by Golaghat with 164 cases, Dibrugarh with 84 and Lakhimpur with 119 cases.
