23 die of COVID-19 in Assam on Saturday, New Cases 1,727

GUWAHATI: As many as 1,727 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in the State on Saturday when 23 people died of the pandemic. While the positivity rate in the State during the day was 1.29 per cent, the recovery rate was 95.65 per cent. The highest number of positive cases was 250 in Kamrup Metro district. It was followed by Golaghat with 172 cases, Jorhat with 119 cases and Lakhimpur with 114 cases.
