6 Jamat-ul- Mujahideen Bangladesh rebels convicted

GUWAHATI: The Special NIA Court convicted six Jamat-ul- Mujahideen, Bangladesh (JMB) members – Hafizur Rahman, Yakub Sariful Ali, Mustfikur Rahman, Hafiz Sariful Rahman and Azharduddin Ahmed – on Tuesday. They were arrested in 2019 from Barpeta. While Hafizur Rahman has been sentenced to two-year-and-five-month imprisonment, the other five have been sentenced to two years each.
