Act Against Syndicates: CM Sarbananda Sonowal To DGP Kuladhar Saikia

GUWAHATI: In view of the reported news items that have appeared in a section of media regarding syndicate raj purportedly continuing in the State, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal asked Director General of Police Kuladhar Saikia to take strict preventive action against such activities.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal further said that in an administration where the government has launched an uncompromising tirade against corruption, prevalence of syndicate or any of its manifestations cannot be tolerated.

The Chief Minister also maintained that in accordance with the present State government’s principle of ‘Zero tolerance against corruption’, the syndicate raj allegedly prevalent during the previous government has been completely uprooted. He also asked the DGP to show no leniency if at all syndicate raj is still prevailing in the State.
