GUWAHATI: The State Government notified the structure of the districts and subdivisions to promote districts and subdivisions as the fulcrums of administrations, take government to the people, and ensure continuity.

According to the notification, the designed structure of districts and subdivisions is as follows: category A: Kamrup (Metro), category B: Kamrup, Dibrugarh, Nagaon, Cachar, Dhubri, Barpeta, Karimganj, and Sonitpur, C: Jorhat, Darrang, Goalpara, Nalbari, Tinsukia, Hailakandi, Karbi Anglong, Dhemaji, Morigaon, Sivasagar, Bongaigaon, Lakhimpur, and Golaghat; D: Biswanath, Kokrajhar, Udalguri, Baksa, Chirang, Hojai, Bajali, Charaideo, South Salmara, Majuli, West Karbi Anglong, Dima Hasao, Tamulpur; E: Bilasipara, North Salmara, Rangia, Margherita, Gossaigaon, Bokakhat, and Kaliabor; F: Gohpur, Bijini, Jonai, Dhansiri, Titabor, Bokajan, Dhakuakhana, Nazira, Sadia, Salbari, Lakhipur, Maibong, Parbatjhora, and Bhergaon.

The government has also notified the number of ADCs, SDOs, circle officers, and other officers based on their categories.
