Administration rejig by Assam government

According to a notification, Jishnu Barua, Additional Chief Secretary (Home, Political, Revenue & Disaster Management, Border Protection & Development, Social Welfare, Implementation of Assam Accord, Passport and Secretariat Administration-Archives) has been relieved from the additional charge of Social Welfare department. Additional Chief Secretary Paban Kumar Barthakur, who has returned from Central deputation, has been given charges of the Social Welfare, Cultural Affairs, and Irrigation departments.

Syedain Abbasi, Additional Chief Secretary (PHE, Water Resources, Information Technology, Science & Technology, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs) has been relieved from the additional charge of Information Technology and Science & Technology departments.

Archana Varma, Principal Secretary (Secretariat Administration, and GAD) has been posted as Principal Secretary (Transport, Information Technology and Science & Technology).

KK Dwivedi, Commissioner Secretary (Industries & Commerce, Public Enterprises, Act East Policy Affairs, Transport, and Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship) has been relieved from the additional charge of Transport department.
