All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) demands CBI probe for the death of Sub-Inspector Junmoni Rabha

GUWAHATI: The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the mysterious death of Sub-Inspector Junmoni Rabha. AASU president in-charge Utpal Sarma and general secretary Sankor Jyoti Baruah said, “The death of SI Junmoni Rabha has shocked the people of Assam. The AASU also condoles her demise. We demand a CBI probe into her death.

“After Junmoni Rabha’s demise, many allegations have been made about a police nexus in some illegal activities. A CBI probe will help shed light on this.”

At present, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Assam Police is probing the case.
