Talking to The Sentinel before leaving Guwahati for Dhaka, the Speaker said, "It is a goodwill mission from the State Assembly to Bangladesh via Agartala. During the tour, we will meet the Bangladesh Prime Minister and the Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament (Jatiya Sansad), besides a few ministers. Our legislators will study the transport and tourism industries in Bangladesh during the visit. We will interact with the Assamese, Bodo and Garo people staying in various villages in Bangladesh. We will also have cultural exchanges with them."
The Assembly team interacted with a few legislators and bureaucrats of the Tripura Legislative Assembly this evening.
