GUWAHATI: The State government has asked the ACS (Assam Civil Service) officers to submit their annual property returns by January 31, 2022. The Personnel department has already issued an office order to this effect.

The office order said that as per Rule No 11 of the Assam Civil Service (Conduct) Rules, 1965, the ACS officers need to submit their annual property returns in two formats – IPR (immovable property returns) and MPR (movable property returns). So, the department has asked the ACS officers to submit their annual property returns based on December 31, 2021, by January 31, 2022.

If an ACS officer does not submit annual property returns to the government, he/she may face hurdles in promotion, getting NOC (no-objection certificates) for various purposes, etc.
