Assam government extends one year office term of Foreigners Tribunals
Following the approval of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Assam government has extended by one year the office term of the Members of additional Foreigners Tribunals.

GUWAHATI: Following the approval of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the Assam government has extended by one year the office term of the Members of additional Foreigners Tribunals. Their one-year term of office had ended on September 2020. The notification of Home & Political Department also said that they will remain attached to the 100 permanent FTs. Presently there are 200 non-functional additional FTs.
