Assam Government shuffles IAS and ACS officers in state

GUWAHATI: The State Government shuffled some of its IAS and ACS officers today. According to a notification from the Personnel Department, Mukesh Ch. Sahu (IAS), Principal Secretary to Women & Child Development, Social Justice & Empowerment, Tribal Affairs (Plain) and Welfare of Bodoland Department, is relieved from the charge of Principal Secretary to the Social Justice & Empowerment Department.

Biswajit Pegu (IAS), Secretary to the Home & Political, Environment & Forest Department, is transferred and posted as Secretary to the Social Justice & Empowerment Department and Secretary to the Home & Political Department as additional charges. Udayaditya Gogoi (ACS), Joint Secretary, School Education Department, and Secretary, Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, is transferred and posted as Director, Tribal Affairs (Plain), on the superannuation of Bhabani Prasad Sarma (ACS) on September 30, 2023, with the additional charge of Secretary, Assam State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
