Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) database of all institutions to be created

GUWAHATI: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has decided to create a Geographical Information System (GIS)-Management Information System (MIS) integrated database of all institutions affiliated to it. According AHSEC sources, this is being done to facilitate the process of decision-making with regard to various examination-related activities.

The AHSEC has developed an Android-based mobile application – AHSEC GIS – to capture the geographical locations of its affiliated institutions via geo-tagging, along with other important information pertaining to the respective institutions.

AHSEC has notified the decision and directed the institutions concerned to download and install the mobile application by accessing 'AHSEC GIS'. The institutions have been further informed that guidelines for using the mobile application and submitting information are available at the website www.ahsec.assam.gov.in
