SHILLONG: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will meet his Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday in an 'unofficial' engagement to discuss the decades-long boundary dispute between the two States.
Sangma said that the meeting with the Assam Chief Minister on Saturday evening will be at unofficial level.
"As I have mentioned many times before that we have been having unofficial discussions on the important subject, tomorrow's meeting is a continuation of that. Tomorrow will fix a date for an official meeting," Conrad K Sangma said.
Meanwhile, he also said that a meeting of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) partners convened by him discussed issues like the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the vexed border issue with Assam, issues of alleged irregularities in Power and Social Welfare departments of Merghalaya.
