GUWAHATI: Good news for talented job seekers! APSC (Assam Public Service Commission) will include forty categories of posts in different departments under its CCE (combined competitive examinations). At present, the CCE covers 12/13 categories of posts. The next CCE is likely to be the biggest-ever recruitment drive under the APSC.

According to sources, the Personnel Department has already asked different departments to submit their respective vacancy positions for the forty different categories of posts. After getting the vacancy position from the departments, the Personnel Department will urge the APSC to hold the next CCE.

The State Cabinet has already approved bringing forty different posts of officers under the CCE. The Personnel Department issued a notification in this regard recently.

The posts that have come under the CCE are –

Assam Civil Service (Junior Grade) – Assam Land Revenue Service, Assam Police Service, Labour Officer, Superintendent of Taxes, Superintendent of Excise, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, District Transport Officer, Inspector of Labour, Inspector of Taxes, Inspector of Excise, Assistant Employment Officer, Block Development Officer, Sub-Registrar, Assistant Manager-District Industries Centre, Finance and Accounts Officer/Treasury Officer, Publicity Officer-Legal Metrology, Exhibition Officer-Handloom and Textiles, Assistant Industries Officer/Commercial Manager, Administration Officer-Minorities Development Board, Research Assistant-Border Protection and Development, Cooperative Education Officer, Assistant Research Officer-Education, Compiler-District Gazetteers, Guidance Counsellors-Secondary Education, Coordinator-education, Planning Officer for Hill Plan Scheme-Secondary Education, Inspecting Auditor-Elementary Education, Assistant Publicity Officer-Legal Metrology, Assistant Research Officer-Handloom and Textiles, Research Assistant-Irrigation, Assistant Public Relation Officers-Irrigation, Assistant Research Officer-Irrigation, Labour Welfare Officer, Registrar-Labour Court, Registrar-Industrial Tribunal, Research Assistant-Transport Survey, Assistant Research Officer-Minorities Development Board, Research Assistant-Minorities Development Board and any other services and posts that the government may include in consultation with the APSC.
