Assam registers 1,182 fresh COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

GUWAHATI: As many as 1,182 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in the State on Tuesday when 13 people died of the pandemic. While the positivity rate in the State during the day was 0.77 per cent, the recovery rate was 96.88 per cent. The highest number of positive cases was 177 in Kamrup Metro district. It was followed by Golaghat with 74 cases, Barpeta 75 and Jorhat with 72 cases.
