Assam registers 1,992 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday

GUWAHATI: As many as 1,992 new COVID-19 positive cases were detected in the State on Thursday when 27 people died of the infection. The positivity rate in the State during the day is 1.65 per cent. A total of 135 new cases were detected in the Lakhimpur district, 157 in Golaghat district, 125 in Dibrugarh and 263 in Kamrup (M).
