An Assam Police team, including CID officials, is leaving for Delhi to take lawful action relating to the conspiracy behind the Mizoram border incident in light of a media interview of Mizoram Rajya Sabha MP K Vanlalvena indicative of his active role in the conspiracy.

GUWAHATI: An Assam Police team, including CID officials, is leaving for Delhi to take lawful action relating to the conspiracy behind the Mizoram border incident in light of a media interview of Mizoram Rajya Sabha MP K Vanlalvena indicative of his active role in the conspiracy.

The Assam Police also announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for information leading to the arrest of each of the individuals involved in the killing of the Assam Police personnel on July 26. The State police have already prepared a picture gallery that is being further updated by including Mizoram Police personnel and civilian miscreants who fired at Assam Police. "We will bring them to law," said Special DGP GP Singh said.

The State police have registered a case in connection with the the killing of Assam Police personnel on the Assam-Mizoram border on July 26 vide Dhalai PS case number 236/21 under section 120(B), 447/336/379/333/307/302 IPC read with section 25(1-A) of Arms Act and Section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984.

The case was registered against Mizoram's Kolasib's DC, SP, ASP, SDPO and others.

In the interview with the media in Delhi, the Mizoram MP said, "We shot them dead because they shot us first... They are lucky that we did not kill them all. If they come again, we will kill them all."
