'Badaruddin Ajmal is Kalapahar of modern era' Says Amit Shah

KAMALPUR "Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev, Mahapurush Madhabdev, Mahaveer Lachit Borphukan are the identities or symbols of Assam. Unfortunately, Rahul Gandhi of Congress is trying to project Maulana Badaruddin Ajmal as the symbol or identity of the State. We shall never allow Maulana Badaruddin Ajmal — the 'Kalapahar' of the modern era — backed by Congress to be the identity or symbol of the State," said Union Home Minister Amit Shah in his 20-minute speech while participating in an election rally at Kamalpur in Kamrup (Rural) district on Friday.

Also present on the occasion were BJP's national general secretary and Member of Parliament (MP) from Mangaldai Dilip Kumar Saikia, MP (Rajya Sabha) Bhubaneswar Kalita, AGP leader Satyabrata Kalita and the BJP candidate for Kamalpur LAC Diganta Kalita were also present in the rally.
