Dispur notifies 'Assam Direct Recruitment for Class III and Class IV Posts Rules, 2022'

GUWAHATI: Good news for jobless youth of the state! The two state-level third-grade and fourth-grade recruitment commissions will advertise the vacancies of all analogous vacant posts in March. It's the biggest-ever recruitment drive of third and fourth-grade posts in the state.

The State Personnel Department notified the 'Assam Direct Recruitment for Class III and Class IV Posts Rules, 2022'. And that opened the floodgates for the filling up of all vacant third and fourth-grade posts of various departments.

With approval from Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Personnel Department had formed two separate recruitment commissions – one each for third-grade posts and fourth-grade posts — earlier. The two recruitment commissions have a chairman and two members each. The two recruitment commissions have collected data of analogous third and fourth-grade posts of various departments to fill them up.

Each of the two state-level recruitment commissions will hold tests, written examinations, practical examinations or interviews for third and fourth-grade posts. The two commissions shall decide about setting question papers and evaluating the answer scripts, and conduct any part or the whole of the recruitment process themselves or through a university; the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA); or any other competent agency/agencies with the approval of the government.
