Assam: BSF and Border Guard of Bangladesh Resolve to Curb Trans-Border Crimes

GUWAHATI: A meeting between the BSF (Border Security Force) of India and the BGB (Border Guard of Bangladesh) discussed, among other issues, constructive solutions to jointly curb trans-border crimes at the India-Bangladesh border, in Dhubri today. The meeting laid stress on sharing real-time information at the cutting-edge level between both border guard forces.

The BSF side was led by Inspector General Dinesh Kumar Yadav, and Region Commander Brig Gen Md Morshed Alam led the BGB at the meeting. The meeting discussed various initiatives to enhance mutual trust and cooperation between both border guard forces, including confidence-building measures.

The two sides mutually agreed to make all possible efforts to ensure peace and tranquilly along the borders. Both sides shared commitment, expressed satisfaction over the outcome, and reiterated their full commitment to ensuring their effective implementation in a collaborative manner.

Expressing satisfaction over the outcome of the meeting, commanders of both delegations reiterated their commitment to work jointly to maintain peace and tranquilly along the Indo-Bangladesh border, a press release said.
