GUWAHATI: The Court of Special Judge will frame charges against the 74 accused in the Dibrugarh Police case (936/2016) in the cash-for-job scam in the APSC (Assam Public Service Commission) on October 25, 2021. It will pave the way for the trial of the case.

The investigating officer of the case, Surjeet Singh Panesar, said this here today. He said, "The case has 74 accused. The process of serving copies to the Court ended today. The trial of the accused will start after framing the charges."

The investigating officer dropped a broad hint that more ACS, APS, and allied services officers would get caught in the police net. "The investigation goes on against them. The process will gain pace once the trial of the 74 accused goes on in full swing," he said.
