New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday announced the results of both the Class-X and Class-XII examinations 2022 conducted by it. Thiruvana-nthapuram topped the pass percentage in both the examinations.
In the Class-XII examination, Thiruvanant-hapuram topped the country with the highest pass percentage of 98.83, while Prayagraj region remained at the last position with a pass percentage of 83.71.
More than 13 lakh students have passed this time in the CBSE 12th board examinations. On an average, 92.71 percent students have passed in the exams.
Bengaluru is at number two with 98.16 pass percentage and Chennai stood at third with 97.79.
Delhi ranks fourth and fifth in this category. In the fourth position, 96.29 per cent students have passed class 12 in East Delhi region while West Delhi region is at fifth place with 96.29 per cent students clearing the board examination. Ajmer is at sixth place with 96.01 per cent. Other high pass percentages include 95.98 per cent in Chandigarh, 94.08 per cent in Panchkula region, 92.06 per cent in Guwahati, 91.20 per cent in Patna, 90.74 per cent in Bhopal region, 90.48 per cent in Pune region, 90.37 per cent in Bhubaneswar region, 90.27 per cent in Noida region. This year 14,44,341 students from across the country had registered themselves for the CBSE 12th examinations, out of which 14,35,366 appeared and 13,30,662 passed. At the same time, 93.98 per cent students studying abroad have passed the board examinations. A total of 33,432 students have scored more than 95% marks in the CBSE Class-XII board results this year.
Many students have scored 100% marks in these board exams. These include Yuvakshi Vij, a student of Noida and Tanya Singh of Bulandshahar.
On the other hand, 94.40 per cent students have passed the CBSE Class-X examination. This year the pass percentage of girl students has been 1.41 per cent higher than that of boys in Class-X.
As many as 2,36,993 students got more than 90 per cent marks, while 64,908 scored over 95 per cent marks. As many as 21,09, 208 students had registered for the CBSE Class-X board examinations, out of which 20,93,978 students appeared in the examinations and 19,76,668 passed.
Like the 12th examinations, Thiruvananthapuram region stood first in the 10th CBSE board exam results as well, while Bengaluru came second and Chennai third.
According to the CBSE, 99.68 per cent students from Thiruvananthapuram, 99.22 per cent from Bangalore region, 98.97 per cent from Chennai and 98.14 per cent from Ajmer, have passed the 10th board exams. Ajmer is at number four this time while Patna at number five, Pune at sixth place, Bhubaneswar at seventh, Panchkula at 8th, Noida at 9th, Chandigarh at 10th, Prayagraj at 12th, Dehradun at 13th, Bhopal and Delhi at 14th place.
Like the CBSE 12th board examinations, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has done fairly well in the Class-X examination in the government-aided schools category. A total of 99.71 per cent students passed the Class-X board examination. This figure of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is more than all other schools, including Kendriya Vidyalaya.
According to the CBSE, this year more than 5 per cent students have got compartment. A total of 1,07,689 students have been placed in the compartment category. All these students will have to re-appear in the CBSE Class X board examinations.
