CBSE results: 76.9% clear Class X, 83.73% pass Class XII exams; Meghalaya tops results in Northeast

GUWAHATI: The success rates of the Guwahati region (Northeast) in the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) are 76.9 percent in Class X and 83.73 percent in Class XII examinations in 2023. The CBSE declared the results today.

According to the CBSE Guwahati regional office, 68,825 candidates took the Class X examinations, and 51,837 of them came out successful, registering a pass percentage of 76.9. Girls outperformed boys in this examination. 75.93 percent of girls and 74.76 percent of boys cleared the Class X examinations.

When viewed state-wise, Meghalaya topped the results in the region with a 97.14 percent success rate, followed by Assam with 95.54 percent, Manipur with 91.76 percent, Nagaland with 90.84 percent, Mizoram with 89.75 percent, Tripura with 86.21 percent, Sikkim with 60.77 percent, and Arunachal Pradesh with 52.54 percent.

As many as 60,975 candidates took the Class XII examinations in 2023 under the CBSE, and 49,825 of them came out successful, registering a success rate of 83.73 percent. 83.6 percent of girls, 79.89 percent of boys, and 100 percent of transgender candidates came out successful in the examinations. Meghalaya topped the results in the region with a 96.03 percent success rate, followed by 94.65 percent by Mizoram, 94.05 percent by Assam, 92.73 percent by Nagaland, 88.26 percent by Manipur, 86.93 percent by Sikkim, 82.88 percent by Tripura, and 65.19 percent by Arunachal Pradesh.
