GUWAHATI: The APSC (Assam Public Service Commission) conducted examination to recruit CDPOs (Child Development Project Officers) was marred with controversy following question paper goof-up here on Sunday.

Candidates appearing at the centre set up at a city college demanded that the day's examination must be cancelled and fresh examination conducted for the subject of 'Social Work' that was actually scheduled for the day. The demand from a section of candidates came after the question paper that was distributed among them reportedly appeared to be of 'Sociology' instead of 'Social Work'.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of APSC said, "In view of some issues raised by certain sections of candidates for the optional subject 'Social Work' in the recruitment examination for the post of CDPO and allied cadres under the 'Social Welfare Department' held by the APSC on Sunday, the APSC has decided to immediately review the matter and intimate the decision taken by the Commission to all concerned at the earliest.
