GUWAHATI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case on complaint from BSNL, Assam Circle, Guwahati against 21 BSNL officials for their alleged conspiracy with a contractor to cheat BSNL.

According to CBI sources, the accused include the then General Manager, then Dy.GM, then AGM, then Chief Accounts Officer, and others of BSNL, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Guwahati, and others, including private persons.

The sources alleged that the public servants entered into a conspiracy with contractors and others and, in pursuance thereof, cheated BSNL.
