GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today expressed his gratitude to all sections of people of the State belonging to Barak, Brahmaputra, hills and plains for having reposed their faith in the BJP-led government and ensured the victory of the BJP and its alliance candidates in the Assembly elections.
In a statement here today, Chief Minister Sonowal attributed the party's victory to the people of Assam. Saying that good actions always pay off, Sonowal said that in the coming times, the BJP-led government will work more enthusiastically and more vigorously carrying the trust of all sections of the people belonging to all caste, creed, community and religion to expedite the overall development of the State. These election results are testimony to the people's endorsement of the policies and performances of the Government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's principle of Sabka Saath, Sabka Bikash and Sabka Viswas. The results also proved the party's popularity among the people.
The Chief Minister also expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his dynamic leadership and unconditional help that he has been rendering to Assam since 2014. He said that because of his love and affection, Assam has been able to register unprecedented growth and development in all sectors in the last seven years. Sonowal at the same time thanked Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the party president J.P. Nadda and all other Central ministers and leaders for their unconditional help to Assam.
Sonowal also thanked all the party workers of the BJP and its alliance partners and said that in the coming times also the friendly alliance will continue to take the growth trajectory of the state altogether to a greater height, a press release said.
