Vaccination Utsav: CM Sarbananda Sonowal Reviews COVID Scene in State

Vaccination Drive in Assam: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal reviewed the current COVID situation and the steps needed to be taken to tackle the outbreak in a meeting held at Assam Medical College in Dibrugarh on Sunday.

The Chief Minister while laying emphasis on generating more awareness among people for maintaining COVID protocol such as maintaining social distance, using face masks etc., also underlined the role to be played by medical practitioners in making the "vaccination utsav in assam", which will continue till April 14 successful.

The Chief Minister speaking about the need to ensure maximum people coming forward for vaccination said that measure should be taken to boost public trust that the vaccine doesn't have any side effect.

The Chief Minister further said that timely intervention and responsive behaviour of people helped the State overcome the COVID challenge last year. He also stressed increasing testing of people to identify COVID patients following a timeframe. He also urged Assam Medical College authorities to ensure best possible care to the patients at the medical college, a press release said.
