GUWAHATI: The number of deaths due to COVID-19 is increasing in the State every day with four more persons succumbed to the virus infection on Friday. Altogether 98 persons have so far died of COVID in the State. The second plasma bank became operational at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH) from Friday.
"Sad to share the demise of four more #COVID patients~ Late Manik Saha (68) of Hojai; Late Minu Banik (30) of Kamrup Metro; Late Gopal Das (68) of Jorhat; Late Bijay Sarkar (59) of Dibrugarh. May God provide strength to their families to bear the loss. Prayers!" Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.
Appealing to the people to take all pre-cautions Sarma said even though the virus infection scenario in Guwahati is improving, only maximum caution could make people safe from COVID-19. He said restrictions on partial lockdown or Unlock I in Kamrup (M) will continue till August 15.Also Watch: #LetsTalk: Of Perception & Understanding
