GUWAHATI: Assam is fast moving towards vaccinating one crore of people. Till Monday evening, altogether 99,67,326 people have been already administered the anti-COVID vaccine. Of them, a total of 81,68,877 people have been administered the first dose of the vaccine; while 17,76, 625 people have got the second dose of the vaccination. Most of the people have been inoculated with the COVISHIELD vaccine.
At present, while 1,371 government health institutions are providing vaccines, a total of 19 private institutions are rendering the service across the State.
Mentionably, Assam had a stock of 6,13,550 doses of anti-COVID vaccines till Monday morning.
Department sources further indicated that there is a likelihood of more vaccines being allocated to Assam from the Central government for the months of August and September.
Till Monday evening, altogether 11,18,577 people have been vaccinated in Kamrup (Metro) District. Of them, altogether 9,06,457 people have been inoculated with the first dose; and 2,12,120 people have received the second dose of the anti-Corona vaccination.
Of the 95 vaccinated sites in Kamrup (Metro), 84 are government and 11 are private sites.
