Defamation suit filed against Congress MLA Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha

GUWAHATI: State Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika filed a Rs 10-crore defamation suit against Congress MLA Kamalakhya Dey Purkayastha in the court of Kamrup (M) Judicial Magistrate’s court. The MLA levelled an allegation against the minister that the latter was involved in running a syndicate.
