GUWAHATI: President of India Ram Nath Kovind gave away the Padma Bhushan award to former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi posthumously. On his behalf, his widow Dolly Gogoi received the Award.

Seven others of the state also received Padmashree Award from the President of India at a function in New Delhi. The seven are Birubala Rabha, Gopiram Borgayan Burabhakat, Dulal Manki, Bijoya Chakraborty, Lakhimi Baruah, Mangal Singh Hazowary and Imran Shah.
