File FIRs against leaders if involved in illegal trade: Ranjeet Kumar Dass

GUWAHATI: Assam BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass has appealed to the people of the State to lodge complaints with the police against Ministers, MLAs and party workers if they are involved in any illegal trade.

The State BJP president said this on Monday while responding to questions from the media on the alleged involvement of a section of party leaders in illegal trade.

"If any of our MLAs, Ministers or party worker is involved in any type of illegal trade, I urge the people of the State to write to the Chief Minister. He will initiate investigations through his vigilance team. And if you don't want to write complaints to the Chief Minister or me, you can lodge FIRs with the police. Our government has adopted a policy of zero tolerance against corruption," Das pointed out.
