Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma passed Supplementary Budget

GUWAHATI: The Assam Assembly on Tuesday passed the Assam Appropriation (No.IV) Bill, 2020 for withdrawal of Rs 10,43,771 lakh from the consolidated fund of Assam for 2020-21.

With this, the Supplementary Budget placed in the House on Monday by the Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was also passed. Placing of the Supplementary Budget has been necessitated due to arising of the additional budget provisions of the State Government in the current financial year (2020-21).
