GUWAHATI: The flood situation in the state is normal. Only 37,737 people in 253 villages in the state are under the grip of floods. The district-wise flood-affected villages in the state are: 116 in Kamrup, 37 in Barpeta, 33 in Darrang, 20 in Bajali and 19 in Jorhat. The state has only four relief camps: two in Barpeta and one each in Kamrup and Sonitpur, Barpeta, Bajali. Kokrajhar. etc. received the worst blow insofar as the damage to infrastructure is concerned.
