Four dies of Covid-19 in Assam, positivity rate 1.72%

GUWAHATI: The daily spike in Covid-19 cases in the state crossed the 500-mark on Wednesday when the medical fraternity detected 591 cases. The Health department detected 279 Covid-19 cases in the Kamrup (M) district on Wednesday against 190 on Tuesday. The department conducted 34,314 Covid-19 tests during the day. The Covid-19 positivity rate in the state was 1.72 per cent, and the recovery rate was 98.47 per cent on Wednesday. Four persons died of Covid-19 in the state on Wednesday.
