Gauhati High Court asks Assam government to consider withdrawal of ban on mobile Internet

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court on Tuesday asked the Assam government to consider withdrawal of the ban on mobile Internet services in Assam. However, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed the media here on Tuesday that “following review by the government as asked by the Court, it has been decided that under the prevailing situation the ban will continue till tomorrow. We’ll again review the situation on Thursday, and take a decision on this issue.
