Gauhati High Court Issued Notice to Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati High Court issued a notice to the Speaker and the Secretary of the Assam Legislative Assembly asking them as to why they had not disqualified MLA Sherman Ali Ahmed, who had been suspended by the Congress. The court issued the notice in connection with a petition filed by the then deputy CLP leader, Rakibul Hussain.
