GUWAHATI: Finally, job seekers can heave a sigh of relief even during these trying times of COVID pandemic as the State government has decided to initiate steps for recruitment to hundreds of vacant posts at the Assam Secretariat in Janata Bhawan as well as in the various DC offices across Assam.
Talking to The Sentinel, Commissioner & Secretary General Administration Department (GAD) & Secretariat Administration Department, M Angamuthu said, "Many Grade-III posts are lying vacant in several DCs' offices across the State. If everything proceeds as per plan, we'll issue the advertisements for filling up about 300 such posts under GAD in June.
"We're also assessing the number of vacant Grade-III posts in the Assam Secretariat. As of now, the available data indicates approximately 250 such posts there.
"The recruitment issue is being taken up with the Chief Minister's Office and also the Finance Department. After getting the nod, we will start the necessary formalities."
He further maintained, "Total tranparency will be maintained while carrying out the recuitment processes."
