GUWAHATI: Unlike the SEBA (Board of Secondary Education, Assam), the AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council) will hold the HS (Higher Secondary) examinations from March 15 with new question papers and new answer sheets. The HS examinations will conclude on April 12.
The SEBA decided to hold the HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) and AHM (Assam High Madrassa) examinations with last year's question papers and answer sheets.
The SEBA and AHSEC could not hold the HSLC/AHM and HS examinations respectively in 2021 due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The AHSEC, however, decided to conduct the HS examination this year with new question papers and new answer sheets.
The AHSEC will hold HS examinations with the full syllabus as students clearing HS examinations face state and all-India level entrance examinations for medical, engineering etc., courses.
AHSEC authorities said that the preparations for the HS examinations were almost over. A total of 2,15,022 candidates will take the examinations in 796 examination centres.
