Assam Governor Summons Assembly Session in Bodo Language

GUWAHATI: For the first time the State Governor has summoned the Assembly Session (Budget Session) in the Bodo Language also, besides Assamese and English. Recently, the Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA) decided to allow the Bodo language also in the House with the State Government notifying Bodo as an associate official language in the State.

State Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary had a meeting with various Bodo organisations, including the Bodo Sahitya Sabha (BSS) in this regard recently. As per the Governor's summons, the Budget session will begin on July 12, 2021.
