The benefits under the redesigned 'Swami Vivekananda Assam Youth Empowerment (SVAYEM) Yojana', can be availed of by members of SHGs (Self Help Groups), FPOs (Farmer Producers' Organizations), cluster-level SPVs/federations, JLGs (Joint Liability Groups) of Assam formed before September 1, 2020.
These organizations can apply through https://svayem.in/ to the State Finance department.
Each of such groups should not have less than five and more than 20 members. The bank accounts of each of the groups should be opened before September 1, 2020.
Each member of the groups should be in the age group of 18-40 years, besides being a permanent resident of Assam. He or she should clear at least HSLC or matriculation examination. The 'District Level Consultative and Implementation Committees' (DLCICs) are the nodal agencies for receiving, scrutinizing and finalizing the applications under the scheme.
The selected applicants will undergo a mandatory training and capacity building programme to be conducted by DLCICs though some identified agencies like Indian Institutes of Entrepreneurship (IIE) etc.
At the end of the training programme, Rs 1,000 per member as training allowance will be deposited into the individual bank accounts of the trainees.
The application should be submitted on or before September 30, 2020.
