Japanese Encephalitis death toll 13 in Assam

GUWAHATI: Three people – two in Jorhat and one in Golaghat – died of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) today. With these three, the JE death toll in the state increased to 13. The health fraternity detected 17 fresh JE cases today – 6 in Jorhat, 3 in Sivasagar, 2 each in Sonitpur, Dhemaji and Nagaon, and one each in Kamrup (M) and Dhubri. The total JE cases in the state rose to 115.
